We hope to see you at the Annual Meeting to discuss 2019 and get a look ahead at 2020.

There are two positions available on our Board of Directors, with two people running.

Amber Perkins has served on the Board of Directors since 2016.  She has been employed at Guild Mortgage 2018. Amber was raised on the Western Slope living in Montrose and Durango. She comes from a family of 6 siblings all residing on the Western Slope. When Amber isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her Son as well as hiking, skiing and traveling or pretty much anything outdoors.  
Gigi Pridy
I was born and raised in the Denver area until my family moved to Olathe in 1976. After graduating from Olathe High School, I married Chris Pridy and together we continued to live in Olathe for several years while he worked on the family farm and I began my banking career. I later went back to school and graduated from Western State College in Gunnison with a degree in Business Administration/Business Education. Upon completing my student teaching at Montrose High School, the bank where I had previously worked offered me a position as their Human Resource Representative and Training Coordinator. With
this position, I was able to take my love of teaching and combine it with my love for banking. Not long after that I became a loan officer and a corporate trainer servicing the banks within our market. Ultimately, I became Vice President and Consumer Banking Manager of one of the bank locations within the market, as well as continued to be the market corporate trainer. In addition to these responsibilities, I was involved with the opening of 2 new bank locations and the transitioning of another that our company had acquired. Overall, I spent a total of 20 years with the same bank, per say, going through 5 different mergers and acquisitions with them. After deciding to leave banking, I was able to stay at home with our son and later started a company called Power Peaks Consulting & Development. During this time, I worked with a number of different companies and different industries doing trainings on a wide variety of topics. It was also during this time that I subbed for the Montrose County RE-1J School District and taught for them during the 2005-
2006 school year on an emergency basis. In 2007, I joined Christopher’s Kitchen & Bath, Inc., which is a local business in Montrose that was started by my husband in 1990. I continue to work here today. In addition to designing kitchens and baths and performing the business office duties for the shop, I have the pleasure of working directly with homeowners, contractors and other design professionals. My work life has been a bit diverse which has exposed me to a number of different industries and occupations. This has led me to a greater appreciation for the talents, skills and abilities of all of the people I have encountered in the past and all of those of whom I look forward to meeting and learning from in the future. It is in this light that I would be honored to continue to serve on The Board of Directors for the NuVista Credit Union.

If you are interested in volunteering as a NuVista Board Member, nominations may also be made by petition signed by 1% of the Members with a minumum of 20 and a maximum of 500.  Nominations close February 10th, 2020.
