What we expect of ourselves

As a credit union, we have members, not customers. We serve the people of Montrose, San Miguel, Ouray and Gunnison communities... we even reach out to their families that aren't in the area. We have no stockholders-no outside third parties to exert influence. We operate under democratic control.

Each member has one vote in annual elections regardless of the amount of money they have deposited in the credit union. Since we are not for profit, our surplus funds, after ensuring reserves, are distributed to members as dividends, reduced interest on loans and improved services.

Available Positions

Call Center Representative - Full Time

We are looking for a dynamic team member for our Call Center. Applicants must possess QUALITY member service. Above average skills necessary in these areas: listening, communication, attention to detail, follow‐up and being personable. This position will entail providing members with information and will have extensive telephone time and research. Healthcare

NuVista pays 100% of the medical and life insurance premium coverage for regular employees who are scheduled 32 hours or more per week. Coverage for eligible dependents is available for purchase at your own expense.

Retirement and Pre-Tax
NuVista offers a 401(k) plan, and a ROTH 401(k), which you are eligible to enroll in after 90 Days of service, with a tiered vesting process.

NuVista has a HSA plan, which allows you to pay your group insurance premiums, daycare expenses, and un-reimbursed medical and dental expenses with pre-tax deduction dollars. The annual amount is $5,000 for Dependent Care and $2,500 for health care.

Additional Benefits

In addition to the benefits mentioned, we also offer you PTO (paid time off) to be used for both sick and personal leave, holiday, bereavement leave, jury duty, free and discounted banking services, and reduced loan rates. NuVista has an employee wellness program and a robust EAP.
