What we expect of ourselves

As a credit union, we have members, not customers. We serve the people of Montrose, San Miguel, Ouray and Gunnison communities... we even reach out to their families that aren't in the area. We have no stockholders-no outside third parties to exert influence. We operate under democratic control.

Each member has one vote in annual elections regardless of the amount of money they have deposited in the credit union. Since we are not for profit, our surplus funds, after ensuring reserves, are distributed to members as dividends, reduced interest on loans and improved services.

Available Positions

Member Service Representative

We are looking for an enthusiastic team member for a Teller Position. 

Ideal candidate will have great customer service, a professional and friendly demeanor, great communication and cash handling skills.  This position will require working closely with our Membership and Staff.  Wage will commensurate with experience.  NuVista has an excellent benefit package that includes Health, Dental, Vision, 401K and generous paid time off.

New Accounts Clerk

We are seeking to fill a new position. The New Accounts Clerk will perform a variety of duties to support our excellent Member Service!

This person will be responsible for assisting New Members with account openings and some financial transactions, helping members with signing on to Online banking. The duties of this position include but are not limited to: ordering checks, debit cards, certificates and assists the FSOs by assisting member with loan applications and making sure the application and required documents are complete.  May help in making delinquent calls and may fill in for the Front Desk and/or Call Center as needed.

NuVista pays 100% of the medical, dental, vision, and life insurance premium coverage for regular employees who are scheduled 32 hours or more per week. Coverage for spouses and eligible dependents is available for purchase at your own expense. Retirement and Pre-Tax
NuVista offers a 401(k) plan, which you are eligible to enroll in after 1 year of service, with a tiered vesting process.

NuVista has a HSA plan, which allows you to pay your group insurance premiums, daycare expenses, and un-reimbursed medical and dental expenses with pre-tax deduction dollars. The annual amount is $5,000 for Dependent Care and $2,500 for health care.
