Equifax Data Breach 2017

With the recent news of the Equifax Data Breach, we realize this is of concern to everyone that has established credit during mid-May through July of 2017.  Names, Social Security Numbers, Birth Dates, Addresses and some Driver’s License Numbers were accessed by hackers for approximately 143 million people.

What can you do?  Consider placing a freeze on your credit report with all three credit bureaus.  Once a freeze is placed, lifting that freeze can create slight delays when you are requesting loans.  So you will need to allow for extra time before applying for new credit.
