CHECKING ACCOUNTS HAVE CHANGED
Beginning in May, daily limits on PIN based debit transactions will be $1,000, an increase from $500. This includes ATM transactions.
NuVista currently does not allow you to overdraft your account when using your debit card as credit. Beginning May 12, 2016, NuVista will allow for debit card purchases run as a credit and as a debit to overdraw your account or go into the overdraft sequencing set for your account.
If you utilize Privilege Pay on a Personal or Business checking account, your limit will be set at $1,000 starting May 1, 2016.
If you utilize Overdraft Services (Personal Line of Credit):
Also beginning May 12, 2016, NuVista Federal Credit Union will be changing its overdraft procedures. Currently, NuVista looks at the following accounts (if applicable) for any available funds: Personal Line of Credit (L40), Primary Share (S1), any High Yield accounts (S5) and any Secondary Savings accounts (S2); in that order. Beginning May 12, NuVista will only use available funds from your Personal Line of Credit (L40) and your Primary Share (S1) in that order. These settings are set by default. Please contact us to sequence your account differently or to opt out of overdraft services on your checking account. If you have made prior arrangements for over-draft sequencing, that sequence will still be honored.
