It is so important to teach strong financial skills to our youth.  These accounts have been designed for the youth of these communities.  We took a hard look at what they want and what they need.

 

The Lucky Penny (Click here for more info)Ages 0-9

This is how it works:  “The Lucky Penny”.  It is available for children ages 0 to 9.  The added bonuses are now there is a place for mom and dad to turn in information of relatives that they’d like us to notify of your account which allows them to make deposits!  Also we have added a youth certificate of deposit that will help you make lots of money with a low $100.00 dollar opening balance.  $5.00 is still the minimum share balance.  When you become of age you will now automatically be upgraded to the next level!  Don't forget to ask for your deposit token when you make a deposit.

Sports Saver (Click here for more info) Ages 10-15

For those of you between the ages of 10 & 15 who previously had a Lucky Penny or are simply a new member, will be the sole owner of a “Sports Saver”  The bonuses… $5.00 minimum share balance for this account, deposit tokens, and the youth certificate of deposit.  When you become of age you will now automatically be upgraded to the next level!

Varsity Account (Click here for more info) Ages 16-18

And for our driving and job bound 16 to 18 year olds we have the “Varsity Account”.

Credit Cards*
Line of Credit*
Youth Certificates of deposit*
Financial counseling *
Minimum Share Balance is $25.00.*

*Financial classes will be given on any Varsity Account that is open.  This is a REQUIREMENT and has to be done within 120 days of opening the accounts.  NEFE is the program that is used and it is a 2 to 2 1/2 hour class that is held at the credit union.  So email ahalsey@nuvista.org to sign up for your class today!  Also go on line to see what you'll be learning @ http://www.nefe.org/hsfppportal/index.html but I will tell you that its much more fun when we put our own spin on it!  Call Angela @ 249-8813 if you have question or need to make special arrangements.

Now of course there are a few guidelines to being eligible for all of these products but the important thing is that they are available to you and we’ll point you in the right direction on how to get these accounts!  Anyone who is under the age of 18 will have to have a joint applicant.
